Our waterproof guarantee
Every Solen Unity product is covered for five years from the date of delivery. If a jacket leaks, a seam fails, a zip breaks, an umbrella frame snaps or a boot splits, we repair it, replace it or refund it. The one exception is the Nimbus Compact Umbrella frame, which carries a two-year guarantee and is stated as such on its product page.
How to start a claim
- Photograph the problem and find your order reference.
- Email admin@solenunity.com with both, and a line about how and when it happened.
- We assess within two business days and arrange a repair, a replacement or a refund — usually without asking you to send the item back first.
The guarantee covers defects in materials and workmanship. It does not cover normal wear and tear, accidental damage, alterations or improper care. Your statutory consumer rights always apply in addition to this guarantee and are not affected by it.
Repair before replace
We keep replacement zips, cuff tabs, boot gussets and canopy panels in stock. Repairs covered by the guarantee are free; out-of-warranty repairs are charged at cost, without a margin, because a repaired jacket is a better outcome than a new one. Tell us what has gone wrong and we will quote within two business days.
Care — jackets & coats
Machine wash warm on a gentle cycle, tumble dry low, and re-proof every four to six washes so water keeps beading. Never iron the membrane and never use fabric softener.
Care — rain boots
Wipe clean with mild soap and cool water. Air dry away from direct heat. Condition natural rubber occasionally to keep it supple and stop it blooming.
Care — umbrellas
Open the canopy and let it dry at home before storing, and never force a stiff hinge. Store closed and upright rather than folded damp.
